Last week StarFloors had the opportunity to attend Surfaces; the national floor covering conference in Las Vegas. The majority of the conference was well-spent getting inspiration for the new Dallas StarFloors showroom. This included developing the vision for 2013 as “Luxury Living” with StarFloors.
One of the hot products across all manufacturers was the softest of soft carpets. Mohawk and Phenix were just some of the few items presented to hit floors this year. Made from silk, these plush floor coverings will be available for clients to feel just how great they feel. It is definitely something to be felt for yourself.
Kane was one of the manufacturers to present more unique floor coverings. Fox fur carpets were quite popular and perfect for someone looking to create a custom rug. Kane also featured unconventional rugs with interesting textures and bright colors.
While on the road StarFloors looks for great opportunities for their sister company Starpower Home Theater. At Surfaces there were some manufacturers who had floors that were made especially for media rooms.This also included flooring with glitter flecks in it. A perfect floor covering for a dream closet or a dimly lit media room.
In the hardwood category, Indus Parquet was the leader inexotic woods. All from Brazil, the Parquet products were unique with each cutof the wood. These were most popularly displayed as accent wall coverings toshowcase natural textures.
Although LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) has been on the market, many manufacturers were showcasing new and different patterns to be rolled out this year.
Needless to say it was a good time for StarFloors to learn about the exciting flooring products available for 2013.
