Summary
StarFloors history is rooted in over 200 years of industry
experience and expertise. Members of
the Pidgeon Family serve as the operating principals for StarFloors, and
brother-company Starpower, which are the product of well-known home furnishing
store, Pidgeon’s. StarFloors corporate offices are located in Dallas, Texas with
facilities and flooring specialists located nationwide.
Our History
In 1985, after operating out of Des Moines, Iowa for 82 years, Pidgeon’ s Home
Furnishings expanded south to Dallas, Texas.
After establishing three thriving locations in North Texas, Pidgeon’ s
ventured into the home electronics industry by adding Pidgeon’ s Satellite and
Home Theater.
Together, Pidgeon’s Home
Furnishings and Satellite and Home Theater, experienced tremendous success in
North Texas becoming one of the top 100 businesses in the industry. Tragedy
struck in 1993 as one of the largest natural disasters in United States History
destroyed Pidgeon’s warehouse. Relying solely on their determination to succeed
and their remarkable knowledge of the home furnishing and electronics industry,
the Pidgeon’s formed two new companies: StarFloors, Incorporated and Starpower
Home Entertainment Systems, Inc.
StarFloors
In 1995, StarFloors President Steven Pidgeon, brought the
company into Nevada and quickly expanded into the Los Angeles market. Soon,
StarFloors was providing flooring for a nationwide financial institution in
Nevada and Las Vegas. StarFloors has now served as the flooring provider for
financial institutions nationwide for over 15 years.
In addition,
StarFloors services residential consumers nationwide through their team of the
flooring professionals, called Territory Managers. Territory Managers cater to
the flooring needs of residential consumers nationwide by bringing our flooring
store to their door with the StarFloors “Showroom on Wheels.”
Our Territory Managers and the “Showroom
on Wheels” provide our customers with the convenience of choosing flooring in
the comfort of their own home, allowing for a stress-free experience.
It is through StarFloors unique floor buying experience,
unparalleled customer service, and the leadership that StarFloors has become one
of the fastest growing flooring companies in the country.
In 2010, the decision was made to take StarFloors to a
national stage. During this time, StarFloors developed one of the most
sophisticated bid/order management systems available, StarFloors Pro. StarFloors
PRO gives StarFloors that ability to partner with REO agents and others to
provide them with a streamline process for submitting flooring bids requests for
their REO listings. To meet the demands of the market, StarFloors recently
developed a REO division.
StarFloors has also taken great steps in developing their
custom division for residential customers. StarFloors offers flexible financing
options to fit your budget and a wide variety of services to meet your needs.
StarFloors now offers window treatments, custom cabinetry, and granite
countertops in addition to their impressive flooring line-up.
