Account Manager – Senior Living Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking resourceful, motivated, sales professionals interested in commercial floor covering sales and project management opportunities. We are a national flooring contractor with an expanded focus on Senior Living and Main Street market segments. We currently have positions available for competitive, motivated salespeople in many major markets in the US.

Responsibilities include developing new and existing accounts with Senior Living and Eldercare companies, tenant improvement contractors, property managers, health care facilities, as well as architects and designers who support the specific market segments. Duties include sales, estimation, bid proposals, project management and follow-up. Our ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, attention to project details, good communication and presentation abilities with an aggressive sales attitude. Floor covering, sub-contracting, property management or business-to-business sales experience preferred.

Account Manager

Job Description:

One of the country's fastest growing flooring companies, Star Floors, has an immediate opening in various markets nationwide for an experienced Sales Professionals. This position involves direct sales, building and maintaining annuity accounts and relationships, with the prospect of stepping into a position of leading, mentoring and supervising others.

Flooring and Installation knowledge is REQUIRED. The successful candidate will be a self-starting individual able to problem solve effectively and take initiative. Candidates must be internally motivated, able to articulate the value of a service offering, and exude the confidence of a well-organized business professional comfortable interacting with end users and executives. Solid flooring industry experience, outside sales experience, leadership skills, and a proven record of results is required.

Candidate must be comfortable and successful in seeking opportunities and making sales.


•Minimum of 7 years of experience in the flooring industryAbility to accurately measure a home for flooring
• Knowledge of flooring installation
• Confidence in seeking and closing sales

*College degree preferred.
*Management experience preferred.

Bid Analyst

Job Description:

Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, entering data regarding property measurements and creating floor diagrams using an estimating tool. Analyst ensures accuracy of all data and pays attention to details. Must be customer focused and strong team player. Knowledge of flooring business a plus. Other duties as assigned.


• Creates documents by entering data from source materials

• Responsible for high production

• Verifies documents for accuracy

• Resolves customer issues and performs duties as assigned.

• Accepts inbound calls and places outbound calls

• Excellent math skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent time management skills, detail oriented, ability to multi-task Must have great customer service skills

• Flooring experience a plus

• Education: High School Diploma and one year College

Salary - $11.00 per hour depending on experience

Hours: M-F (8-5pm) – Hours may vary depending on business needs

This position is a highly technical position responsible for providing accurate, detailed estimations and floor plans for large flooring projects. This is a support function works with both internal and external customers to be able to complete the various projects assigned.  Work is of a time sensitive nature with a small window of opportunity to complete work.  The incumbent needs to be able to multi-task, to have PC experience and able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy in an Office environment.


  • Floor Plan Identification – CAD, PDF or Hand Drawn Field Measurements
  • Floor Plan Interpretation – CAD, PDF or Hand Drawn Field Measurements
  • Specification Identification and Interpretation
  • Product Research
  • Take off / Estimate Floor Plans using current take off software
  • Revise Take Off / Estimate Floor Plans
  • Review completed estimate information for correctness and neatness
  • Research Plans and Specifications
  • Plan and Specification Management
  • Ability to work with Sales Personnel on Field Measurements – outside the office
  • Maintain Completed Take Off and Supporting Documentation on the network for future reference
  • Estimation Time and Log Reporting
  • Some Overtime is required with this position
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Complete familiarization with PC and how to operate the PC
  • Complete familiarization with Computer Network and how to work with Network and Network procedures
  • Complete familiarization with Outlook and how to operate this email tool
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and project specifications
  • Ability to use electronic bulletin boards
  • Complete familiarization with MS Office
  • Problem Solving Skills or Puzzle Solving Skills – a plus



  • 2 to 5 Years Previous Experience in a Flooring or Construction Office Environment and/or Business Office Environment.
  • 1 to 2 Years Previous Experience reading and interpreting floor plans, calculating take off information and creating estimates – a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Outlook as main form of communication between Estimating Group and Field Sales Force.
  • Ability to work with and prioritize work from a large & varied internal & external customer base.
